Creative and Concept

Sketch and Modeling helps us to convey our concept and ideas to our clients in the most efficient way in visual forms. Sometimes simply buying products is only one element of the entire solution chain and even if with the help of written products spec or later down the road during install and commissioning, drawn diagram of schematics and installation manual, some of our clients have still found it difficult to pull through and themselves gotten stuck in the process at given pivotal moments. Our tools of manual sketches, CAD, SketchUp, VectorWorks, Rhino, Adobe, and recent AI facilitations such as ChatGPT and Midjourney, etc. provide just that extra inch of a rule to bridge the gap.

Our creative team members consist of veterans from Vegas residential shows, Broadway and touring productions, local theaters, theme parks and malls as well as live house and unconventional immersive venues to name a few. We work very closely with our clients from concept to design and development, from white model to storyboards and renderings, from drafting to detailed design and fabrication drawings, from casting to artistic training, all of which process ensures planned transitions from paper to realization, from meeting to factory acceptance test, from management to training and formation, from production to operation handover that ultimately leads to the opening and ongoing run of the live contents. We annually invest heavily on research and development, material testing and venue study in order to expand, to the fullest, ideas beyond the horizon and present a vast of possibilities in front of our clients. Preliminary Design and Schematic

Now we have learned about our clients’ needs and worked out a general direction with the client of how things are headed, we then play with the idea on paper and communicate with the clients based on our products, diagrams and drawings. Unlike a lot of others, selling our products to the clients isn’t where the trail stops, we make sure our clients get to finish the journey by guiding and assisting them to realize how those products are to be implemented successfully into their projects.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT

As a full solution provider we often are contracted by our clients from the kickoff all the way to finishing line through which phases design development is one of the most important and through that course we kept our clients closely informed every step of way how development evolves, clients in return feeding us back with their ever changing adjustments in demands till it’s just right. The results of such development and collaboration lead directly to the following procedure: both product selection and its production which are also the most important two elements of all the stages that judge the foreseeability and successibilty of any given project.

Projects that we technical designed include Beijing Universal Studios Theme Park, Lions Gate Theme Mall, Guangzhou Chimelong Theme Park, Cirque du Soleil X Land of Fantasy, Shanghai Secret Cinema Casino Royale Immersive Venue, Haikou Thunder Chase Stunt Show, to name a few.

Product

All products’ specifications and some of which’s manuals are all listed online for clients’ review. We take clients through details of the above as well for any questions they may have.For those projects where clients request more of our involvements, product selections are based on the outcomes of our design development. Besides that, we also take in consideration of clients’ budget and iron out in their best interest of cost effectiveness. Refer to Design Development phase introduction.

Besides GST Gear’s own brands, we have partnered and networked with more than 300 manufacturers in areas from cable and connectors to automated lifting stage. All selected products are certified and went through FAT and SAT on site of the projects if required. GST Gear also continues to send industry recognized professionals to our factories and manufacturers in relationship and help guide them on crafts and technologies all year round. With full-fledged lines of creative and production team within GST, we offer to our clients turn key solutions to their projects from concept and creative design all the way to install, training and handover. On multiple occasions we are also hired as the client’s operation team for either their tours or residential venues

Production & Rental

We have a strict QC system, be it our own manufactured products, procurement of products we represent or purchase on behalf of our clients. For any product, before out of the factory for delivery, we also go through FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and upon request share such reports with the clients and for projects where we are required to install and commission on site of the client’s, we perform SAT (Site Acceptance Test) and issue SAT report before handing over to the client, as references for long term maintenance and preventative maintenance purposes as well.

In general, services include technical specifications, site advancing, procurement, recruitment & evaluation matrix, fabrication, FAT-SAT, install, technical & artistic validation, postmortem, gala premiere, fixation, etc. Among all aspects of developing a triumphal production, planning and foresight is one of the most vital elements. We came from a live entertainment production and install background with more than 30 years of professional experience. For any of our client’s project where our presence for install and commission is part of the sales package, we carry out services with high standards and in a timely fashion. Other than live entertainment venues we served for, we have also worked on such as live houses, night clubs and pubs, exhibitions and museums, art installations and festivals, school and shopping mall halls, as well as community events, etc.

Transportation

Under our sophisticated network of logistic and material resources, we are able to customize shipping method for our clients per their timelines, e.g. load-in and install, handover and performance, as well as FF&E for the operation of the venue etc., and even if you just need a few spare connectors in a rush, we strive to have them by your side on time of your needs. What’s more assuring is we don’t charge extra on top of the actual factual cost of shipping.

Training

We provide onsite trainings to our clients’ crew or designated representatives after the Install and Commissioning as part of the handover process. Such training is comprised of the following sections: equipment and hardware, software and programming, maintenance and preventative maintenance SOPs, and any other documentation that is to be organized and archived. Should there be any special requests in training from our clients that arise from time to time, we customize for them.

Other certified trainings we offer are GrandMA2&3 Programming, Fall Protection, OSHA 10, First Aid, Active Shooter Response, Work, Rescue at Height and Safety (DAS), IRATA Training Center (in process), PADI Show Dive, etc.

Post Service

In a closed loop of consultancy-to-post service system mechanism, our representatives are there for our clients both online and offline.
